On 20 January border guards of Lankaran border guard detachment prevented another attempt to smuggle a large consignment of drugs from Iran.
The State Border Service of Azerbaijan informs that border guards found more than 77 kg of marijuana, 3 kg of heroin, 1,000 tablets of methadone M-40 and other drugs.
No information is reported as to who tried to smuggle the drugs.
