Large Shipment of Psychotropic Substances from Iran Detained
Baku / 14.03.19 / Turan: The Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reported on the detention of a large batch of psychotropic substances from Iran, which was being transported to Ukraine through Azerbaijan.
Twelve boxes of methamphetamine were found in the truck by officers from the Astara customs station. The total weight of the boxes exceeded 56 kg. The cost of such a quantity of methamphetamine in the "black market" is estimated at about $ 6 million, the Customs Committee said.
The cargo was transported in a car owned by the Iranian company Pardis Ceram Pajh CO, based in Iran"s Astara, and ordered by the Ukrainian company Architecture Decor. -02D-
