Baku/30.06.22/Turan: The human rights organization "Line of Defence" has decided to hold a protest demonstration in front of the building of the Judicial-Legal Council on 1 July.
The organization's executive director Rufat Safarov said that the protesters intend to protest against the closed trials.
Thus, at trials, and especially in political cases, no one except lawyers and family members of the accused, are allowed in. At the same time, courtrooms are closed to human rights defenders, journalists and civil society activists, Safarov said.
In his turn, head of the press-service of the Interior Ministry Elshad Hajiyev told Turan that any action held without the permission of the relevant executive authority will be stopped. -03В06-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
