Lotu Guli�s People Exposed in Armed Robbery?
Tbilisi / 02.12.17 / Turan: Two members of a criminal group were detained in the village of Broliskedi of the Terzhol municipality on charges of robbery, the press service of the Georgian Interior Ministry said. Both detainees are citizens of Azerbaijan - 29-year-old R.A. and 44-year-old H.A.
According to the investigation, the defendants in the group of five people on December 1 committed a robbery attack on two citizens. The incident occurred in the village of Sakasriya, Kharagauli district. At that time, the attacked were driving a BMW car from Tbilisi to Batumi. Members of the criminal group were armed with firearms. Threatening the victims with violence, the attackers took away 140 thousand dollars, mobile phones and personal belongings from them and fled the crime scene.
Two of the accused were detained soon. The police seized a portion of the stolen money, $ 90,000, from them. During the operational-investigative measures, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia managed to establish the identity of all the members of the organized gang.
Among them there are three citizens of Georgia, two of whom are criminal authorities, so-called "thieves in law". According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one of them is known in criminal circles under the nickname Guli. Law enforcers continue to work to establish the whereabouts of all the gang participants.
The investigation was started under paragraph B of the second part of Article 179, as well as under paragraph D of the third part of Article 179 of the Criminal Code of Georgia - "robbery committed by a group of persons on a large scale". The detainees face from 7 to 12 years in prison.
Recall that a native of Georgia Nadir Salifov nicknamed Lotu Guli has been recently released from detention in Baku and he is likely to be the same criminal authority. According to unofficial data, he left Azerbaijan and lives in Turkey. -02D-
