Mammad Ibrahim Faces Criminal Charges
Baku / 28.07.20 / Turan: A member of the Presidium of the Popular Front Party and a former political prisoner Mammad Ibrahim is charged under Art. 233 (violation of public order) and 315 (police resistance) of the Criminal Code. This was announced by his son Turan Ibrahim.
Mamed Ibrahim is being held at the Narimanov District Police Department. His detention was formalized on July 27, although the arrest took place on July 26.
On July 28, Mammad Ibrahim will appear before the court, where a measure of restraint is expected in the form of arrest.
According to the PFPA, a total of 36 party activists were detained on charges of organizing the riots on July 15. Of these, 14 were charged with criminal charges, including 13 arrested, one transferred to police supervision. Another 9 people were arrested administratively and 10 were released after being questioned as witnesses. The fate of the others remains unknown. — 06D-
