Baku/22.10.21/Turan: Asker Agayev, suspected of raping underage gender-activist Syanai Yagmur, has been arrested. This was reported by the lawyer of the victim Zibeyda Sadygova.
According to her, on October 21 the Binagadi district court arrested Agayev for 4 months.
He is indicted under Article 149.2.3 (rape of a minor). It provides the punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
Last week the victim's mother, writer Zumrud Yagmur, accused her nephew of the crime who she said had drugged the victim.
The General Prosecutor's Office reported that the criminal case initiated by the Yasamal district prosecutor's office under Article 149.2.3 of the Criminal Code, has been taken under the personal supervision of the General Prosecutor.-06D-
