Maritime Agency on Safety Measures Due to Bad Weather
Baku/23.02.21/Turan: The State Maritime Agency of Azerbaijan issued a warning in connection with a sharp deterioration in the weather in the Caspian Sea from February 23.
The Agency reports that by the evening of February 23 in Baku and Absheron the wind speed will reach 18-23, and in gusts up to 25-30 m/s.
On February 24, the wind force will increase to 32-35 m/s, a blizzard is expected and the air temperature will drop by 5-10 degrees. The height of waves at sea can reach 5-7 meters.
Ship owners, masters and port inspectors have been instructed on measures to enhance security measures. Vessels in the water area were taken to a safe place. -02D-
