MDCOC Warns Gezal Bayramli and Nureddin Mammadli
The two vice-presidents of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan - Gezal Bayramli and Nureddin Mammadli were called by the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (MDCOC) MIA.
According to Bayramli, she was presented claims in connection with her statuses in Facebook, relating to the trial on the "Nardaran case" and people involved in them - the leader of the movement Muslim Unity Taleh Bagirzade, PFPA deputy chairman Fuad Gahramanli and others.
According to the police statement, Bayramli defended religious extremism and protests against the political system. She categorically rejected that.
"I expressed disagreement with the warning that in my notes there is the defense of religious extremism and appeals against the state. I said I'm fighting not against the state, but against the regime and I will continue this work," said Bayramli.
Mammadli was also called due to his critical statuses in Facebook and participation in the "Nardaran case".
"I told them that I support peaceful struggle. My publications and statuses are analytical content. They do not contain extremism or appeal against the state," Mammadov said.
In his opinion, the authorities are trying to create a myth of the PFPA supporting "extremist groups". -03B-
