The implementation of the self-employment program, expert commentary of a presidential decree, and relations between Europe and Azerbaijan are the leading topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the implementation of the self-employment program. As was noted at the last meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the basis of the results of 2018, during the year this program was expanded 6.5 times.
7,267 people have successfully defended their business plan, over 5 thousand families have been active, and new family farms have been created.
If annually 6-7 thousand people are involved in this program, then the need for social assistance will disappear. President Ilham Aliyev said in his speech that 7,000 families will take advantage of this program this year.
The website Bizimyol provides expert commentary by Rovshan Agayev on the optimization of management, structural reforms and the use of official cars. According to the expert, for 10 years about 700-800 million dollars was spent on official cars of officials from the state budget. The expert considers the presidential decree on this issue to be right and timely, and he suggests taking personal cars and apartments of officials under public control.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about relations between Azerbaijan and Europe against the background of the upcoming PACE session.
MP Fazil Mustafa said that at this session there will not be any special issues on Azerbaijan, although there may be different opinions on certain episodes.
He also spoke about the agreement currently being developed between the EU and Azerbaijan. The MP considers every document that is signed with the EU very important.
