The level of social welfare of the population, the decision of the Deposit Insurance Fund, and the need to install a monument to Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh in Baku are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the level of social security of citizens, recalling the decrees and orders signed by the head of state.
The article noted that since 2003 wages in the country have increased 7.5 times, pensions more than 10 times, and poverty has dropped to 5%.
The first social package improved the well-being of almost 3 million people, and this was highly appreciated by society. The second social package was signed on June 18, 2019 and covered about 950 thousand people.
The website Yeni Sabah.az writes about the decision of the Deposit Insurance Fund, discussing it with expert Neymat Aliyev. According to the decision, the upper limit of deposits is determined by the Fund at the level of 10%.
The expert recalls that the Fund was established with the aim of gaining public confidence. In addition, large funds are allocated from the state budget to this Fund. It turns out that the Fund does not have public trust. In any case, citizens withdraw their deposits due to distrust of banks. According to the decision of the Fund, the top bracket of household deposits in manat has been reduced from 15 to 10%, and in dollars from 3 to 2.5%.
The website Modern.az writes about the need to establish a monument to Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh in Baku. The article says that the city administration claims that there are no appeals about the installation of the monument. It turns out that we must ask about it.
The grandson of Rasulzadeh claims that there have already been such appeals. He also believes that BSU should be associated with the name Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh. By the way, the only monument to Rasulzadeh was installed in the center of Zagatala during the reign of Elchibey in 1993.
