The newspaper Azerbaijan deals with the topic of state care for large families. In this regard, the author quotes the First Vice President, Mehriban Aliyeva, noting that for every woman, first of all, her children and family are important. To date, the format of a large family has changed; such is considered a family with three children.

In 2018, 138,982 children were born in the country. Currently, 17 maternity hospitals, 130 women's clinics, 248 polyclinics and outpatient clinics operate in Azerbaijan. The article recalls the order "On Additional Measures to Strengthen Social Security," signed by the President in February of this year, according to which the social allowance for each newborn child is 200 manat. Women who have more than five children will be paid 55 manat for each child.

The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes that from today, a ban on Iran"s export of potatoes and onions comes into force. If we consider that Iran is the main country that forms the potato market in Azerbaijan, then you can imagine what awaits us.

During the year, 50,000 tons of potatoes are imported to Azerbaijan from Iran. This situation will adversely affect prices and markets in general. In turn, the Iranian side claims that this year the climatic conditions were unfavorable, which affected the yield. Experts hint that with such a ban, Iran is trying more to protect its domestic market due to the introduction of international sanctions.

The site Yenisabah writes about the application of the curriculum system, discussing this with expert Kamran Asadov. This system was introduced to schools in Azerbaijan in 2008. The results of final exams for 9th graders in 2017 showed that education in secondary schools did not meet state standards.

Currently in 4,472 secondary schools this standard is not observed. Of the 155 thousand teachers, only a small part provide training in accordance with the curriculum system, the expert said, although the state spent over 30 million manat to introduce this system.
