The website Azadliq.info writes about the situation with the production of shoes. The author notes that the production of shoes has decreased by 65%. In a country with almost 10 million people, the production of 90 thousand pairs of shoes is insufficient. Thus, only 1% of the required amount is produced in the country, and all the remaining 99% are imports. For two months of the current year only 15 thousand pairs of shoes were produced. Real reforms are also needed in this area. The author cites the digital dynamics of the decline in shoe production in previous years. As for imported footwear, in 2017, 57% was imported from China, 24% from Turkey, and 16% from Iran. -0-
