The adoption of the law on agricultural insurance, the high cost of markets, the reduction of trade in large shopping centers are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan evaluates the adoption of the law on agricultural insurance and the creation of the Agricultural Insurance Fund. The author notes that this will help the rapid growth of agriculture. In preparing the law, the experience of such countries as Spain, the USA, and Canada was used, on the basis of which a model acceptable for Azerbaijan was adopted. The problem in the field of agricultural insurance is the lack of awareness of farmers about the insurance system and its benefits. The adopted new law is designed to bridge existing gaps.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat discusses with the expert Nijat Nasirli the high prices in the bazaars for fruits and vegetables. An example is the Yashyl Bazaar, which was recently visited by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmedov and Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov.
The author notes that prices in this market do not reflect the picture of the whole country. There are several reasons for the high cost: this is the purchase of products from farmers by intermediaries and the dependence of farmers on these dealers, who dictate prices to them.
The website "Modern.az" is discussing with the expert Natig Jafarli a drop in goods turnover in the Bina and Sadarak shopping centers.
The flow of customers declined due to the fact that these shopping centers were not able to replace stores in the city. If 3-4 years ago the difference in prices in these shopping centers and city stores was 30-40%, now this difference has decreased to 5-10%. In addition, customers prefer convenience in the city rather than discomfort in the Bina and Sadarak centers. Many people think that the goods in these shopping centers are not so high-quality, although in fact many goods in city stores come from these shopping centers.
Discount campaigns organized by city shops also play a role, which is not the case in the shopping centers. ---000-------
