The retirement age and its compliance with the realities of life, the punishment of religious leaders for religious events, the expulsion of migrants from Russia are the topics of today's media.
The site “Yenisabah.az” discusses the issue of the retirement age. The author says that according to Article 7 of the Law "On Labor Pensions" in Azerbaijan from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2021, the retirement age for men increased by 6 months annually, and for women - from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2027.
The retirement age for women is set at 62 years and 6 months, but will increase by 6 months every year and will reach this limit in 2027.
In recent years, the number of people dying under the age of 65 has increased. In 2019, this figure was 41%.
Expert economist Rovshan Agayev said that according to statistics, 18% of all deaths in the European Union occur before the age of 65, and 82% - after.
In Azerbaijan, the situation is reversed. 7.2% of the population of Azerbaijan are people aged 65 and over. In this case, the retirement age of 65 means that half of the citizens will die without becoming retirees.
The website “Moderator.az” writes about the increase in the number of commemorations and weddings, where infection most often occurs. Every clergyman knows about the ban on holding commemorations in closed rooms. The representative of the Caucasin Muslims Office Haji Shahin Hasanli says that the clergy will be punished for participating in such ceremonies. He advised them not to take part in such ceremonies during the pandemic.
The site “Sfera.az” writes that Russia is expelling migrants from the territory of its country, the total number of which exceeds 1 million. According to statistics, currently the number of illegal migrants from Azerbaijan to Russia is 120 thousand people.
Experts believe that Russia is using the problem of migrants as a factor of pressure. Every year, migrants take out billions of dollars from the Russian Federation. At the same time, the return of migrants to their homeland will increase social tension and unemployment.
