The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the successes achieved by the country over the past year: an increase in pensions, minimum wages, and benefits. In 2019, the country's total economic growth amounted to 2%, in the non-oil sector growth was 3.5%, in the non-oil industry 14%, and in agriculture 7%. President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
