The possibilities of using wind and solar energy in the Karabakh region, the activities of the ambulance service, the possibility of Azerbaijan receiving compensation from Armenia in connection with the occupation, and concern over the activities of the peacekeeping forces are the topics of today's media.
The Azerbaijan newspaper discusses the issue of maximum use of the potential of the territories liberated from Armenians. These lands are distinguished by full-flowing rivers, and there are areas where there are strong winds, which makes it possible to use the energy of the sun.
According to scientific research, the region has an energy potential of more than 4 thousand megawatts of solar energy and up to 500 megawatts of wind energy. Seven promising areas for obtaining solar energy have been identified in the Jabrayil, Fizuli, Zangilan, Gubadli, Lachin and Kelbajar regions.
Azerbaijan also has the status of a transit country for electricity. The author recalls the signed agreement for the use of solar energy with companies from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The project provides for the construction of stations for the extraction of solar energy (200 megawatts) and wind (240 megawatts). The stations are to be commissioned by 2023.
The website Redaktor.az writes about the problems of the ambulance service in connection with the worsening situation with the coronavirus pandemic. The spread of coronavirus could not be prevented, therefore, the main task is to treat seriously ill patients. Doctors believe that a medical consultation on the treatment of COVID-19 should be organized on TV channels throughout the day. People cannot find doctors and ask each other for prescriptions, which can backfire. Recently, there are a lot of complaints about the activities of TƏBIB, the Ministry of Health, Ambulance, polyclinics.
The website Metbuat.az discusses the issue of compensation for damage to the occupied territories by Armenia.
Experts say that such a precedent was after the Second World War between the USSR and Germany. Compensation claims will keep Armenia under constant pressure. When calculating compensation, the main issue is the assessment of the damage caused to lands, buildings, infrastructure and cultural monuments.
The website Azpolitika.info writes about the concern about the activities of the Russian peacekeepers. The concern is that they go beyond the document signed on November 10. As well as close direct contacts of Russian peacekeepers with Armenian separatists, their joint management. These persons were put on the international wanted list by Azerbaijani law enforcement officers. Nevertheless, these persons even travel to Moscow and negotiate with some officials. All this is disrespect for the sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
The arrival of the Armenian leadership to Khankendi is also a cause for concern, which the Russian peacekeepers did not prevent. In addition, the establishment by Russia of structures that resolve humanitarian issues, which contradicts the Constitution of Azerbaijan, causes concern.
