Preparations for the vaccination process against COVID-19, the situation in the field of media, and the reasons for the non-fulfillment of the Moscow statement of January 11 are the topics of today's media.
The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about preparations for the vaccination process against the coronavirus pandemic. The Ministry of Health said that vaccination will be carried out after a medical check and indications. The vaccine will be administered by nurses selected at the outpatient clinics, where vaccinations will take place and who have undergone special training.
Vaccines will be administered in special rooms allocated for this in polyclinics. The patient will be monitored within 30 minutes after vaccination. If during this period no phenomena appear, then the patient will be sent home. Special refrigeration units will be installed at all vaccination points.
The website Yenisabah.az quotes the opinion of the chairman of the Union of Journalists Elchin Shykhly regarding the Press Council. As you know, on the basis of the liquidated State Support Fund for the Media, the Media Development Agency has been created. In all likelihood, the Agency will take over the functions of the Press Council.
Elchin Shykhly believes that it is necessary to convene a congress of journalists to dissolve this structure.
The website Redaktor.az discusses the issue of whether social networks can be perceived as media. Experts believe that professional media and social networks should be separated, since the latter are only a means of communication.
All opinions displayed on social media are private. Therefore, responsibility must be divided into two parts - personal responsibility for social networks and media responsibility.
Experts believe the media bodies represented on the Internet platform should also be paid certain attention, including information sites and Internet television. They are not social networks, so the regulation of this process in the legal plane is an important issue.
The website Bizimyol.info.az assesses the fulfillment of the obligations arising from the statement signed in Moscow on January 11 by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia. As you know, at this meeting the issues of withdrawal of the Armenian military from Karabakh, restoration of the sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and the opening of communications were discussed.
Experts believe that Moscow needed this meeting, and of course, issues of concern were discussed there. In particular, a message was given about Turkey's distance from the Karabakh regulation process and from the South Caucasus in general. Russia wants to be the hegemon. However, Russia's plans are not destined to come true, since Turkey and the United States are against.
As for the early opening of the Meghri corridor, it will become a breath of air for the Armenians, and not just communication for Nakhchivan and Turkey.
Azerbaijan must resolve the issue of sovereignty in Karabakh, as it is very important. Resettlement of Azerbaijani refugees to Khankendi and the surrounding area is the key to restoring Azerbaijan's sovereignty in Karabakh.

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. While the government’s decision cites the coronavirus pandemic as the main reason—despite the World Health Organization declaring its end last year—Zahid Oruj, Chair of the Human Rights Committee in the Milli Majlis, pointed to other factors. He stated, "Opening the borders could result in an influx of hundreds of thousands of non-Azerbaijani refugees due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Additionally, in Iran, many are prepared to cross into Azerbaijan to safeguard their lives and assets amid military strikes. Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."
