Payment of damage to the civilian population caused by the military aggression of Armenia, unforeseen expenses of citizens in connection with the rise in the price of gasoline and diesel fuel, the need to revise customs duties and VAT in connection with the import of hybrid cars, and the likelihood of restoring traditional education are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the payment of damage to the civilian population of Azerbaijan as a result of the military aggression of Armenia. The author recalls the shelling of Ganja, Mingechevir, Tartar, Barda, Naftalan, Agjabedi, Gabala, and Khizi by the Armenians.
As a result, more than a hundred civilians died, up to 400 were injured, and over 40 thousand people left their places of residence. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, 4,186 houses, 135 apartment buildings and 548 civilian objects have become unusable.
Head of State Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on compensation for damage to the civilian population. According to the document, each family is paid 6,000 manats for damage to housing, 1,500 manats for a family member due to damage to personal belongings, and 1,000 manats for a family.
The website Redaktor.az discusses with experts the rise in prices for gasoline and diesel fuel, as a result of which the owners of vehicles will be compensated. In his opinion, until these compensations are applied, private carriers must transport passengers at the same prices, buying fuel at new prices. Currently, the carriage of one passenger in Baku ranges from 50 qepiks to 1 manat, and the prices for air transportation are regulated by the state.
The website Mətbuat.az also discusses the rise in fuel prices, which leads to unforeseen expenses. For farms this is an extra 150-200 manats, and for citizens - 47 manats. According to experts, an increase in fuel costs will lead to an increase in the price of goods and services, with most of all consumer goods, including food.
The website Yenisabah.az discusses with experts the increase in demand for hybrid and electric cars due to the rise in fuel prices. However, VAT on electric vehicles and state tax on hybrid cars are high. Hybrid cars, like conventional cars, are subject to customs duties and all taxes, resulting in a rather serious figure. Thus, a 7-8 year old car can be purchased abroad at a price of 1200-2000 manats. Upon delivery to Azerbaijan, customs duties for such a car will exceed 10,000 manats. That is, several times the purchase price. Experts believe that for the import of new and modern cars to Azerbaijan, it is necessary to seriously reduce customs duties and taxes.
The website Bizimyolinfo.az discusses the need to restore the learning process. Distance learning has no legal basis.
It should be noted that the current distance learning is just an online form of traditional education. Since distance learning has its own plan, program, contract, and charter. The Ministry of Education does not recognize a diploma obtained as a result of distance learning. The expert believes that the gradual restoration of the traditional learning process is possible and necessary.
