The website Yenisabah.az writes that People's Artist Zeynab Khanlarova appealed to President Ilham Aliyev with a request to release Tofig Yagublu, a veteran of the Karabakh war, from arrest.
The singer notes that she is a person of art and keeps her distance from politics, “However, I cannot and will not remain silent on issues that are important for the state and the nation,” notes Khanlarova.
