The Azerbaijan newspaper writes that from January 1 to September 1, 2020, a profit of 2 billion 657 million US dollars was received from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields.

Income from the sale of gas and condensate from the Shah Deniz field for 8 months amounted to $ 232 million.

At present, ACG and Shah Deniz are the largest exploited and rich hydrocarbon deposits. The volume of production from this field in January this year reached 500 million tons, and the associated gas received by Azerbaijan amounted to 45 billion cubic meters.

The reserves of the Shah Deniz field are estimated at 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas and 240 million tons of condensate.

The Sfera.az website is discussing with experts the issue of canceling small areas. This will help save budget funds. In particular, we are talking about the abolition of such administrative units as the Kapaz and Nizami districts of the city of Ganja and the transition to the method of unified management. Experts believe that the presence of small areas only complicates the procedures for entrepreneurs and citizens. Following Ganja, similar measures can be taken in other regions.

The website Arqument.az discusses with the deputy Vahid Ahmedov the situation with the recent increase in the number of arrests of officials. Large sums of money are found on all those arrested. The deputy emphasizes that it is impossible to earn so much money in an honest way. It is necessary to carry out certain reforms and reduce the number of executive authorities, and with them the facts of corruption and bribery.
