The solution of social problems, the destruction of trees in the capital, a proposal from a lawyer for unity, and the fact that 655 internally displaced persons do not have the IDP status are topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the solution of social problems in the country. The author notes that over the past 15 years, wages have been raised 7 times, pensions - 9 times, and the minimum salary - 6.5 times.
Benefits for internally displaced persons and scholarships for students were increased by 50%. Every year about 7 thousand people are attracted to the self-employment program.
The website Yenisabah.az writes that trees are being cut down in the capital, and government agencies do nothing. Does the First Vice President have to interfere in this? As is known, about 100 trees and bushes were cut down on the territory of the Khatai district of the capital.
The website Azadliq.info writes about the problems of lawyers who are harassed because they protect political activists. So, the lawyer Yalchin Imanov actually cannot practice law for two years. His case is in court all this time.
Now it's up to lawyer Fariz Namazly. The Prison Service has included him in its "black list". Apparently, this service is confident that Namazly will be deprived of the lawyer"s practice, as well as other objectionable defenders.
Aslan Ismailov appealed to the Bar Association with a call for unity and not allowing the lawyers to be deprived of their law practice.
The website Modern.az writes that among the internally displaced persons living in hostels and emergency houses, 655 families have been identified that do not have the status. As noted at the meeting of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, 8,485 refugee families live in emergency facilities in Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron.
A single emergency facility in the Absheron district, two facilities in Sumgait and 18 facilities in Baku are inhabited by 655 families with no status of internally displaced persons. In this regard, appropriate measures will be taken.
At the same time, it was noted that in 2019-2020, 2,314 families of displaced persons will move to private houses to be built as part of the project in Shirvan, Ujar, Kurdamir, Goygol, Agjebedi, Beylagan, and Fizuli.

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. While the government’s decision cites the coronavirus pandemic as the main reason—despite the World Health Organization declaring its end last year—Zahid Oruj, Chair of the Human Rights Committee in the Milli Majlis, pointed to other factors. He stated, "Opening the borders could result in an influx of hundreds of thousands of non-Azerbaijani refugees due to the Russia-Ukraine war. Additionally, in Iran, many are prepared to cross into Azerbaijan to safeguard their lives and assets amid military strikes. Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."
