The significance of the decree in connection with the organization of export, the reason for dependence on chicken imports, pre-New Year prices in hotels, and offers in the tax system are the leading topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the significance of the presidential decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev in 2017 on the activities of trade missions at Azerbaijani embassies abroad. The author emphasizes that this decree will ensure the access of the Azerbaijani brand to international markets. Thanks to the established trade missions, trade relations are tied with 170 countries, and products worth up to 14.3 billion dollars have been exported. The main goal is to bring the export of goods per capita up to 450 dollars by 2025. In general, this means the export of non-oil products will increase by 4-5 times, reaching USD 5 billion.
The website Musavat.com writes about the import of chicken meat. The author writes about a large dependence on the import of eggs and chicken meat. If this issue is not resolved in the next 5 years, the import of eggs and meat will reach 50%. The author claims that it is caused by chicken diseases and pestilence that leads to the fact that poultry farms operate at a loss. The bird migration that occurs at the end of September each time causes the spread of chicken flu through droplet-air infection, which affects the production in poultry farms. The author considers it necessary to stop the transportation and sale of live birds in the country, as this can help improve the provision of the country with chicken meat.
The website Baku.ws writes about the pre-New Year prices in hotels of Azerbaijan, calling them fantastic. Hotels in Gabala, Guba, Gusar, and Shamakhi are in the greatest demand on New Year's Eve. Children under three years of age are not paid for. Children from 4 to 18 years old are given a 70% discount. Further, the author lists prices for specific hotels from December 31 to January 2. For an ordinary citizen, the prices are actually fantastic, that is, the New Year celebration for two people can cost about 1,600 manat, for example, in the Guba Palace Hotel. There are places with cheaper prices, too, but there is no New Year evening program there.
The website Oxu.az discusses new tax rates with MPs. An MP believes that at present the VAT percentage is high - the application of the 18% tax on products of all types is incomprehensible, the MP says. -0-
