Mehman Huseynov needs an operation, a lawyer
Baku / 16.06.17 / Turan: A blogger Mehman Huseynov kept in jail N 14 suffers from pain in his leg and needs an operation, a lawyer Elchin Sadigov told Radio Azadlig, who visited his client on June 15.The lawyer reported that Mehman Huseynov was finally given an identity card.His health is normal, his mood is good, he does not complain about the conditions of his detention. However, in recent days, pain in the leg has intensified, and he needs immediate operation.The lawyer recalled that the PACE co-rapporteurs visited jail N 14, where they met with Mehman Huseynov. He told the co-rapporteurs about his unlawful arrest and problems.
The blogger suffers from pain in the veins, he previously applied for an operation, but the Medical Directorate of the Penitentiary Service said that there was no such need.Mehman Huseynov was sentenced by the Surakhani court of the capital to imprisonment for 2 years on March 3, 2017.On January 9, he was kidnapped in the center of the city, and on January 10 he was in the police of the Nasimi district.In court, he stated that he had been tortured by the police. Huseynov's lawyer appealed to the Baku Prosecutor's Office to investigate the fact of torture.
