Member of Jayshullah Formation Detained
Baku / 18.09.20 / Turan: During a special operation of the State Security Service (SSS), Azerbaijani citizen Amil Ahmedov was arrested, suspected of undergoing special training in one of the militant camps in the city of Aleppo (Syria) and participating in the fighting in Idlib, Hama and Aleppo as part of the illegal military formation Jayshullah in 2016-2019. This is stated in a message on the SSS website on September 18.
According to the same source, Amil Ahmedov subsequently left Syria and moved to the territory of a third country.
The operation to arrest him was carried out on September 7. A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 283-1.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (creation of illegal armed groups outside the country and participation in them). -02D-
