Member of the Muslim Unity Movement Detained
Baku / 01.06.20 / Turan: On June 1, a member of the Muslim Unity movement Samir Babayev was detained.
As members of this public organization told Turan, Samir Babayev was detained in the morning by people in civilian clothes in front of his uncle’s house. He was put in a white car and taken away in an unknown direction.
It was not possible to get a comment at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Recall that the movement Muslim Unity is considered the leading religious opposition force. Its leaders were sentenced to long prison terms on charges of anti-state activity after the special police operation in the village of Nardaran in November 2015, when several members of the movement and police were killed. --0----

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
