Mountaineering and Climbing Federation of Azerbaijan regret to announce the death of Murad Ashurly.
The tragedy occurred on October 21 following the successful ascent of Murad to the technically difficult height of the Himalayas - Ama Dablam. During the descent for unclear reasons there was a break in fixed rope , and he fell from a height of 300 meters.
Mountaineering Federation and all the climbing community expresses its sincere condolences to the family of Murad and foremost, President of the Federation, Israfil Ashurly.
In the face of Murad Ashurly Azerbaijan has lost one of its Everest climbers, and the only conqueror for today: Ama Dablam, the highest peak in the Pamir - Muztagata (7546m., China) , and 13 vertices in Central and South America.
Before the expedition Murad completed the work on the book "Finding your Everest", which will soon be published in the United States.
