More than 20 kg of drugs seized on the border with Iran
Baku/01.09.22/Turan: In recent days, border guards have seized about 16 kg of drugs, the statement of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan. On August 29, at 22:00, near the village of Garaguvendikli, Imishli region, border guards noticed a man violating border from Iran. Being ordered to stop, the intruder fled back to Iran.
During the operational-search activities, two people who were taking the package in the border zone were detained. They were Natig Almanov, a resident of the Absheron region, and Tair Rasulov, a resident of the Shabran region. A package with 3.3 kg of marijuana and 800 methadone-40 tablets was seized.
On August 30, two border violators were seen near the village of Shahsevan in the Beylagan region, who also disobeyed the order and fled back to Iran. Two packages containing 16.7 kg of drugs (marijuana, heroin and methamphetamine) were found at the scene.
During the operational-search activities, the border guards detained a resident of the Imishli district, Aliguseyn Rzayev, and a resident of Baku, Ramil Agamaliev, who were trying to take drugs. Investigations into the facts are ongoing. --05D--
