More than 24 kilograms of drugs seized at the border with Iran
Baku/14.03.23/Turan: Employees of the border detachments "Goytepe" and "Lankaran" have prevented the smuggling of more than 24 kilograms of drugs from Iran in the last day, the State Border Service reported on March 14.
On March 13, Azerbaijani citizen Novruz Dadashov was detained while trying to violate the state border near the village of Diman in Yardimli district. About 6 kg of drugs were found and seized with him.
On March 14, border violators from Iran were spotted near the village of Archivan in the Astara district. As a result of operational measures, Baku residents Kamil Hasanov and Navruz Mirzoev were detained, who tried to leave the area by car. During the inspection of the car, packages of narcotic substances with a total weight of more than 18 kg were found and seized, the report says.
