Musavatists of Europe prepare actions in defense of political prisoners
Baku / 14.12.17 / Turan: On 23 December the European Coordination Center "Musavat" (ECMC) will hold protest actions in six European cities to draw attention to the problem of political prisoners in Azerbaijan. According to the representative of the ECMC, Ahmed Jalaloglu, the reason for the new actions is the arrest of the head of the Shirvan organization of the Musavat party, Alikram Khurshidov.
The ECMC was established in 2015 in Germany, since then the organization has conducted a number of actions demanding the release of political prisoners. After that, persecution of relatives of organizers and participants of protest actions began in Azerbaijan: native political emigrants were taken to the police, detained and arrested on falsified charges. -05B06-
