Nakhchivan Journalist Seriously Injured
On November 8 Hakimeldostu Mehdiyev, a journalist in Nakhchivan, was seriously injured and almost lost his hand. While working in his yard, he lost control of a power saw to cut metal and cut his wrist. According to the victim's family, the electric saw cut his hand by a half. The bleeding journalist was brought to Baku, where he underwent an 8-hour operation.
According to the doctors, the injury is very serious, but there is a hope that the hand can be restored, although the treatment will take several months.
