Arrests in MNS Counterintelligence Department
The authorities continue to inform the public about the arrests in the MNS by leaks in the pro-government media. At the same time, law enforcement agencies do not give any official comments.
Thus, the public became aware of the arrest of several MNS officers in the last four days. In particular, the Prosecutor's Office arrested the Chief of the Counterintelligence Department Colonel Miraziz Askerov due to numerous complaints of entrepreneurs.
Earlier Askerov’s name figured in the materials of extortion of large sums from business people and capture of businesses.
On November 6 the Sabail court arrested three officers of the Counterintelligence Department, Mehman Abdullayev, Orkhan Osmanov and Akif Aliyev.
