New Law on Media should be checked for compliance with country's Constitution
Baku/31.03.23/Turan: Site owner 24saat.org and az24saat.org, journalist Vugar Gurbanly petitioned the Constitutional Court to check the compliance of the Law on Media with the Constitution of the country.
As Gurdganly told the Turan news agency, these media resources have repeatedly been denied inclusion in the Media Register created under the new Law on Media. Another request for inclusion in the register was left unanswered.
In this regard, Gurdganly filed a complaint against the Media Development Agency to the Baku Administrative Court.
"At the court session on March 30, we filed a petition to send a request to the Constitutional Court for compliance of the Law on Media with the Constitution of the country. We hope that the court will grant the petition," Gurdganly said.
Legal assistance in litigation to the owner of the sites is provided by an expert in the field of media law Khalid Agaliev. -06B-
