New, test �free type of admission to universities
Baku / 13.06.17 / Turan: A new test -free type of admission to universities will be introduced in Azerbaijan. Corresponding amendments to the Law "On Education" were adopted at the session of the Parliament on June 13. Amendments were made to Article 26 of the above-mentioned law, called "general rules for admission of students to higher and secondary special educational institutions". Before the introduction of changes, the possibility of entering universities without a test examination had the winners of the world's subject Olympiads, international competitions. From now on, the circle of people who can enter universities without a competition is expanding. The law introduced an Article 26.5-1, according to which persons who successfully passed the exams at the annual preparatory courses for a bachelor's degree get the right without test enrollment in the university. -0--

Azerbaijan and Armenia have agreed to commence the next stage of delimitation work up to the Iranian border.
