Now the residents of the unfinished "MTK Abidə" house are promised nothing
Baku/17.03.23/Turan: Shareholders of the housing construction company "MTK Abidə" have sent a collective letter to Turan asking for assistance in the construction of a residential building in the center of Baku, which has been delayed for 19 years. The long-term construction is located behind the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Despite numerous appeals to the president and the city's leadership, the building is not being built, and residents of the former house demolished for the construction of a new building are forced to rent housing at their own expense.
In 2004, residential buildings were demolished in block 252, at the intersection of Zargyarpalan, Tolstoy, Mukhtarov, Tagizade streets. Residents were promised new apartments in a new building. At first, "MTK Abidə" started building a 13-storey building. Then it turned out that this construction company was one of the problematic clients of the International Bank of Azerbaijan. Then, by presidential decree of 2015, the construction of the building was entrusted to the joint-stock insurance organization "Aqrarkredit", and in 2017 it was transferred to the subordination of the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation (AIC).
But because of the rearrangement at the top, the building was not built faster. According to the residents who called Turan, the acceleration of construction, and even that is temporary, they noticed only immediately after the publication of the article in Turan, the President gave the construction of the house to the corporation occupied by unsubscriptions from August 2021. Moreover, the construction managers reproached the residents for reporting their problem to Turan.
The builders stirred, and soon it was quiet again. The builders' next excuse was the underground water found in the foundation of the building. And now residents are being told about the lack of money for construction from AIC. "When they are, then we will finish it."
Residents sent an open letter to the president of the country, in which they report that some residents have been living in rented apartments for 19 years, another part took bank loans for the purchase of apartments under construction, as a result they do not have new housing, but loans must be paid.
The shareholders of the missing building, Natik Alizadeh, Fazil Jafarov, Emil Kerimov, Leyla Aghayeva, Gulten Hamidova, Lala Hajiyeva, appeal to the president with a request to facilitate the completion of construction so that people can move into the apartments they have long paid for.
AIC did not respond to Turan's telephone and written questions.
The opinion of AIC is presented in the official message of the Industrial Corporation on the website. It is said about the works carried out by the contractor "EL Construct" to divert groundwater through drainage devices, insulation and other works in the collective garage, even removed old boards used in concreting. But there is no indication of the completion date on the site.—0—
