Number of divorces is growing in Azerbaijan
Baku/13.07.23/Turan: As of June 1, the population of Azerbaijan was 10,148,057 people, the State Statistics Committee of the country reported.
At that, 54.6% of the country's population live in cities, 45.4% in villages; 49.8% of Azerbaijani residents are men, 50.2% are women.
The State Statistics Committee also draws attention to the growth in the number of divorces.
Thus, according to information from the local civil registration departments of the Ministry of Justice, 19,381 marriages and 9,040 divorces were registered in January-May 2023.
Thus, as compared to the same period of the last year, the number of marriages for every 1,000 people dropped from 5.6 to 4.6, and divorces, on the contrary, rose from 1.5 to 2.2. -06B-
