Number of People Infected with Coronavirus Continues to Rise
Baku / 08.10.20 / Turan: 191 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Azerbaijan, while 154 people recovered, and 1 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on October 8.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, 41,304 people have been infected with the coronavirus, 39,012 have recovered, and 603 have died.
Today, 1,689 active patients continue their treatment.
In total, 1,156,938 tests for coronavirus were carried out, including 6,280 in the last 24 hours. — 06D-

On October 10, a verdict was read in the Serious Crimes Court for Ahmed Ahmedov, who killed five members of his family. Judge Sabina Mamedzade ruled that Ahmedov should be sent for compulsory treatment. Ahmedov was charged with intentional murder with particular cruelty, the murder of two or more persons, and the murder of a person in a helpless state. For these crimes, the guilty face life imprisonment or long-term incarceration.
