Nurlana Aliyeva relieved of her post of rector of Slavic University
Baku/22.06.21/Turan: By order of the President of the country, Nurlana Aliyeva was relieved of the post of rector of the Baku Slavic University (BSU). The text of the document was published on the president's website.
Earlier, in March this year, at the congress of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Alieva lost her post as head of the Women's Council and did not enter any of the organization's elected bodies.
Alieva was criticized on social networks and the media for holding a competition for the best essay at the university in 2019, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Soviet leader Yevgeny Primakov. He was involved in the entry of troops into Baku in January 1990, which resulted in mass casualties among the civilian population. –06D-
