Tofig Yagublu
On the sixth day of the hunger strike, Tofig Yagublu's health worsened
Baku/10.01.23/Turan: Opposition politician Tofig Yagublu has been on hunger strike for the sixth day at the Binagadi detention center for the arrested under the administrative procedure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, reported the wife of the politician Maya Yagublu, who met with him on January 10 in the detention center.
“This time the meeting took place not through a glass partition, but face to face. Tofig's health is serious. He was lethargic, could hardly stand on his feet, and walked with difficulty. The face turned black,” said the wife.
According to her, Yagublu was not isolated in a separate room.
“Moreover, he is kept in a six-bed cell with five drug addicts, and yesterday they brought another one. This creates additional psychological tension for a person conducting a hunger strike,” said the spouse.
She also indicated that Yagublu's blood pressure and body temperature had dropped. At the same time, Yagublu intends to continue his hunger strike until his demands are met. ---0---

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
