Baku / 04.07.19 / Turan: A group of civil society activists launched a campaign to free Nandaran village resident Abulfaz Bunyadov from a prison in bed.
The collection of signatures is carried out under a petition on the Internet platform.
Activists urge to support the appeal of mother Heiriya Bunyadova, the mother of the accused, to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva with a request to assist in the release of A. Bunyadov.
The Supreme Court today dismissed the appeal of Abulfaz Buniadov, the convicted on the Nardaran events.
The appeal reminds that A. Bunyadov was wounded during a special operation in the village of Nardaran on November 26, 2015 and paralyzed. He was arrested, but some time later he was released under police surveillance. However, on July 11, 2018, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison and A. Bunyadov on stretchers was taken from the courtroom to the prison.
Now A. Bunyadov is kept in the Medical Institution of the Prison Service and is being looked after by other prisoners. Recently, his health deteriorated due to exacerbation of hepatitis C and intestinal infections.
His mother has problems with legs, and cannot visit her son. She calls on the country's leaders to assist at least in changing the measure of restraint given its difficult condition and the situation of the family.
During the special operation in Nardaran in November 2015, Bunyadov received wounded in his spine. -06D-
