Baku / 20.11.19 / Turan: An activist of the Khatai district branch of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) Musahib Abbasov was arrested on November 19 for 30 days in administrative order.
He was detained in Baku by employees of the Neftechala police. The court found him guilty under Art. 535.1 (not subordinate to the police) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
PFPA is convinced that the reason for the arrest is the political activity of the activist. The next wave of arrests of party members began before and after the rally on October 19, when 38 members of the Popular Front Party were detained. They were sentenced to between 5 and 60 days of administrative arrest. One activist, Pasha Umudov, was charged with drug trafficking and a criminal case was opened against him. -03B06-
