PFPA Activist Fuad Ahmadli Arrested for 10 Days
A member of the Youth Committee of the opposition Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Fuad Ahmadli has been arrested for 10 days on charges of administrative offense - not subordinating to police.
According to the activist’s family, Ahmadli called home on 25 December around 17.00 and said that he was detained by a police inspector near his home.
About 20.00 the Khatai Court of Baku arrested him for 10 days.
His father Zafar Ahmadli said that on 23 December his son was summoned to the police station, where he was expressed dissatisfaction with his publications on Facebook due to the devaluation of the manat.
According to him, before the detention F. Ahmedli wrote in Facebook: "What now, people? Shall we start rallies and participate in them, or has the time not come yet? Do you still have 5 manat (3.7 dollars) on you? Will you wait until they take it away from you? What will you say - protests, or the continuation of life with the arched head?"
The activist’s father said that in April this year, his son was already subjected to administrative detention for 25 days and was held in the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime at the MIA. -06d--
