PFPA Activist Questioned in Prosecutor`s Office
A member of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) Arzuman Mejidli was today questioned by the Investigation Department for Serious Crimes Prosecutor General's Office. Mejidli told Turan they asked him about the activities of the Azadlig newspaper and about his links with its Chief Financial Officer Faik Amirov. He was also asked about the financial sources of the newspaper and about who contributed money to it.
Recall that Amirov was arrested on August 20 this year on charges of inciting religious hatred. The investigation named him a representative of Fethullah Gulen in Azerbaijan. Amirov categorically denied the allegations, calling them fictitious, and his arrest ordered. -06D--
