Baku/04.02.23/ uran: During the operational measures of the police in January, 49 drug couriers were detained in the Sabunchu district of Baku, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The detentions were carried out by local police officers in the villages of Kurdakhany, Bakykhanov, Mashtaga, Zabrat, and Ramana.
Five kg of drugs, including heroin, marijuana and psychotropic substances, were found and confiscated from the detainees and during searches in their homes.
Lawsuits cases have been filed against the detainees. ---05D06---

September 27 is commemorated as Remembrance Day in Azerbaijan. On that day, the 44-day Second Karabakh War began. The Azerbaijani Government stated that as a result of this war and the one-day military operation that followed, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country were ensured.
