Police detained up to 50 people involved in drug trafficking over month
Baku/11.05.23/Turan: From April to May 11, a head drug control department of the Interior Ministry seized 400 kg of drugs worth about 15 million manats from illicit trafficking. This was reported to Turan in the press service of the Interior of Azerbaijan.
In the reviewed period, 49 people were detained on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking.
A series of operations have severely damaged the "channels" used to traffic drugs from Iran. Measures are being taken to apprehend other members of the drug network. In particular, Tarlan Hasmamedov, the organiser of drug deliveries from Iran to the Beylagan region, was detained.
In total, 400 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from illicit trafficking. -06B-
