Police Go into Enhanced Mode in Connection with Elections
Baku / 19.12.19 / Turan: In connection with the upcoming December 23 municipal elections, the police are transferred to an enhanced mode of operation. The corresponding order was signed by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vilayat Eyvazov, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
According to the document, the police will serve in heavy duty on December 22-25.
On the election day, the number of police patrol units will be increased.
Except in cases of personal voting, police officers may enter polling stations only on the basis of a decision of the precinct election commission or at the invitation of the chairman of the precinct commission in order to restore public order. —06D--
