Police neutralize a criminal who took a minor hostage
In the Surakhani district of Baku, the police neutralized an attacker who had taken a minor hostage and was threatening to kill him.
As Turan was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kh. Akhmedov, who is wanted and previously convicted of military and other crimes, did not submit to the legal demands of the police officers during his arrest and resisted.
Having grabbed the child, he put a bladed weapon to his throat, threatening to kill the minor.
Despite repeated warnings, Kh. Akhmedov continued inappropriate actions. Taking into account the need to ensure the safety of the child and other people around, police officers used their service weapons to neutralize the criminal.
The fact is under investigation.
