Police prevents rally in Baku in support of war against Ukraine
Baku/03.03.02/Turan: The police did not allow an action in Baku to support Russia in its war against Ukraine. Posted in the corners of the quarter in which the Russian embassy is located, police squads from 14.30 today did not allow passers-by to approach the embassy building. Only the employees of the Russian representative office passed to the embassy.
The call to take part in the support action has been distributed on the social network since March 1. The action was scheduled for 15:00 on March 3. The organizers are unknown.
All Azerbaijanis who support Ukraine are fascists, and Russia is smashing fascism in Ukraine, an Azerbaijani citizen who came to the rally told Turan.
"The Azerbaijanis, ungrateful, who have forgotten all the good things that Russia has done for us, and who support Ukraine, should be ashamed. Allah will punish you. They do not understand anything. The police did not allow us to rally near the embassy, probably because they decided to ban our action from above , they did not prohibit a mass action for Ukraine. It will end badly for us," said the participant of the action.
The police behaved with restraint, there were no arrests. People trying to get to the Russian embassy did not hold posters and flags. –0--
