Policeman testifies against Tofig Yagublu
Testimony of prosecution witnesses, police officers, continued in the Sheki Court at the trial in the case of Ismayilli events of January 13 in the afternoon
Two policemen from Goychay region did not give specific evidence against the accused. However, the police officer of the Ismayilli regional police Yunis Bakhtiyev stated that he saw that Elshan Ismayıllı ( brother of the employee of "Azadlig" newspaper) and vice-chairman of "Musavat" Tofig Yagublu "commit unlawful acts."
According to police , Yagublu incited local residents to seize the building of the regional administration. It caused outrage of Yagublu who called the witness "a shameless and immoral man."
The trial will continue on January 14.
There are 18 accused on charges of rioting in Ismailli region, including the head of the REAL Movement, Ilgar Mamedov and deputy chairman of " Musavat", Tofig Yagublu. They are accused of organizing or participating in riots in Ismaily 23-24 in January, 2013. -06D-
