Baku/25.05.22/Turan: Member of the Party of People's Front of Azerbaijan (PPFA) Agil Magerramli (Magerramov) was released from the colony today upon the expiration of his 4-year prison term.
The activist was released early in the morning to prevent a meeting outside the colony with a large number of PPFA members and journalists.
Magerramli stated that after his release he would continue his political activities.
Recall that Magerramli was arrested in May 2018 in a trumped-up case of "illegal financing of the PPFA." He sentenced to a four-year of imprisonment. Despite being eligible for parole, the courts repeatedly denied him.
Magerramli was found to be a political prisoner. -06D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
