Positive Dynamics in Gyulalyev’s State of Health
Baku / 17.12.19 / Turan: Positive dynamics continue in the state of health of the human rights activist Ogtay Gyulalyev. This was reported by the activist’s spouse Firuza Gyulalyeva.
“Infections have already decreased, so antibiotics are no longer administered. The kidney creatinine has also reduced. For 3-4 days, the temperature is normal. Analyzes are carried out daily, and if there are any problems, they are solved. If some elements are not captured in the blood, then treatment is carried out,” F. Gyulalyeva said.
However, the activist continues to remain in a coma.
Recall that the well-known human rights activist was hit by a car in the center of Baku on October 29. He received a severe head injury leading to cerebral hemorrhage. A few hours later, he fell into a coma. On October 30, a neurosurgical operation was performed on him in Baku.
Turkish specialists who arrived on November 5 at the invitation of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation recommended that he be taken to Turkey for treatment. On November 6, he was dispatched by AZAL’s special flight to Istanbul and placed in the Avrasia Clinic. On November 19, he was transferred to the American Hospital, where the next day he underwent another neurosurgical operation to remove fluid from his head.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation took upon itself all expenses related to the treatment of Gyulalyev on behalf of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. -05B06-

Amid the bustling scenes of this year’s COP29 climate conference, a protest against whaling and deep-sea mining, organized by a group calling itself the FINS Initiative, drew significant attention from delegates and observers. In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
